We are glad to have supported World Animal Protection Africa in a countrywide survey to understand the Antimicrobial Resistance knowledge and practices among drug vendors, farmers, and the public in Kenya. The survey was carried out from November – December 2020. We engaged 100 students from 13 tertiary-level institutions in Kenya.
From the report, it is evident that knowledge and practices related to antibiotics among the participants showed significant gaps. This calls for urgent efforts to mitigate irrational practices in antibiotic use.
